Just a quick and fun post today: Robot storage containers.
I had these large tin cans ready to go out for recycling and thought I would just think of something fun to do with them.
So I grabbed some stray random things around the house---old cassette tapes, nails, grommets, stray buttons---and just hot glued them onto the can into the face of a robot. Fun, isn't it?
Then I inserted all my ktichen cooking utensils into the large can and it suddenly looked like funky, utilitarian "hair".
I might do a whole series of these for the display cabinet in the living room. It has a feeling of those Prada robot t-shirts that were all the rage way back when.... but in this case, I'm using real junk to make these charming bots.
Danny! You are always doing fun things with old junk around the home! I love your idea's

I love these. The question is: What tapes did you use...Mr Roboto perhaps? :)

Love this idea! This post would be a perfect one to link up to "Twice the Fun Tuesday" at my site havingfunathomeblog.blogspot.com.
Twice the Fun is a weekly mr. linky about creative recycling that will start next Tuesday (Oct 14.) It would be great to see your post there!
