I notice that these are "dry clean only" which is not very eco plus is expensive. In your experience, can bamboo be washed? An item like this, used on a couch for snuggling, is apt to get food dirt, etc on it. I don't want to put it in a museum!

Oh my god, Danny! I'm obsessed! Just found you through d*8 and have had such a great time flipping through your archived posts. Basically all productivity has been thrown out the window this morning. You know, because it makes much more sense to put work aside in order to methodically pore over your amazingness. So excited to learn more about the stuff you do!

Maggie,

Bamboo tends to shrink (especially 100% bamboo), which is probably why it has been stabalized with cotton...as well as to create the "nap" associated with a bamboo fabric I suppose. Anyway if you want to avoid drycleaning, I would suggest treating it as a delicate wash and air dry to avoid shrinkage.

Just a note. The "jadestone" color is NOT blue at all. It's a light jade green color.

Thanks for the tip with these -- totally got mine on Saturday. Can't wait for the arrival.

Hey -- would you consider doing a post on eco-friendly methods by which one might recover their couch?

Just curious and thanks,
Matty

I've now attempted twice to order the "light jadestone" throw, and both times I've received what I'm pretty sure is the "dusty moss" shade. I think the entire warehouse is full of mislabeled throws! I'm sad - I love my brown one and I really really want the jadestone to complement it, but as I don't live near a JC Penney store, I don't think I have the energy to hunt it down.

Awesome, thanks for the tip!

I just purchased a queen blanket from Mad Mod (www.mad-mod.com) and I absolutely love it!!! It is soooo soft and lightweight, keeps me warm but doesn't make me sweat like the polyester blankets. I love it that there are more and more products like these out there!
