Kraft Paper Wrapped Gifts
Gift wrapping is one of these things that people either A: Dread or B: feel bad about. It's never positive, is it?
So, here's something that's quick, eco-friendly, festive and fun!
Rip open a grocery store brown paper bag (let's face it: even I forget to bring my own bag to the store sometimes) and wrap a gift so the unprinted side shows on the outside of the box.
Then cover the package in office supply store stickers; I love the white reinforcement stickers. Isn't it fun how they swirl all around the box in this picture? Tie it all up with wool yarn in festive colors and you're done.
This is something even children can help with. Have fun, wrap away and be creative!

Hi, cool idea! This year I wrapped all my presents that I had to ship to my Canadian relatives in my garbage...well it was my garbage. Things like tortilla chip bags that I can't recycle but felt too guilty to just throw in the trash so I gave them a second life as wrapping paper! I was pretty pleased with the results. Maybe I'll do the craft paper technique next year. I gotta say tis the season all right when you're cross legged on the floor amongst a zillion tortilla chip bags and turning them into bows, ribbons and gift tags etc. hahaha
As always love your blog, very inspiring!

I just love this idea!! What a great way to use grocery bags, or craft paper. So simple, my two daughters can do this on their own. What a fun idea. Thanks for sharing!

"Brown paper packages/tied up with string/these are a few of my favorite things!"
I detest gift bags and wrapping paper-so wasteful! Can you come up with something to do with it?

I remember using craft paper and potato-printing the recipient's initials all over each present a few years ago.
This year I have decided to wrap the presents in reusable fabric bags instead- I made all the bags in tartan fabrics, with a satin ribbon, and used French seams for sturdiness. I hope they will be reused many times after Christmas!

Super cute! This Christmas I used all recycled items to wrap my presents and they all looked great. Who needs wrapping paper when brown paper bags can look so pretty.
