More Plastic Flowers

Plastic_flowers

I stopped by the grocery store the other day and realized I didn't bring my own reusable shopping bags with me.    Instead of driving back home to fetch them, I figured it was better to shop now and try to remember the next time.

I had three white plastic bags and decided to make some white plastic flowers.   We covered this project in my column in Country Home magazine.     In the magazine, we used brightly colored plastic bags and created really colorful plastic flowers that were peonie-like in nature.

It couldn't be simpler: just take a plastic bag and crumple it up and fold it in half, then again and then again if you can.   Then take a piece of string and tie it around tightly around the middle.  Snip off the ends with scissors and then fluff.  Flowers!

I like these white flowers in teacups.  There's actually something very real about them.

Great Idea !! I saw them from you in CH. They look beautiful !! You are AMAZING !!

That is a fabulous idea and a great way to use all the plastic bags accumulating under my sink.

I love the idea of the plastic flowers. They are very modern and chic. I have found a way to make them look even more chic. The reed diffusers are very popular and they are sold in every store here. When they have finished using their scents, I take the reeds and use them as bases for the plastic flowers. I have them in vases throughout the house and at the office. The reeds actually smell pretty good because they were used in the diffuser! Great for any room!
